The average price per square metre of usable area of existing residential units rose 9.7 per cent quarter-to-quarter to 105,575 patacas in the second quarter, on account of an increase of 13.7 percentage points in the proportion of higher-priced new residential buildings built within five years, which reached 27.8 per cent of the total, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) has announced.
According to a DSEC statement on Friday, the average price per square metre of pre-sale residential units grew 3.2 per cent quarter-to-quarter to 136,022 patacas.
According to the Macau Post Daily, the average price per square metre of industrial units increased 7.5 per cent quarter-to-quarter to 55,488 patacas, while that of office units rose 0.4 per cent to 102,390 patacas.
As per stamp duty records, 3,593 building units and parking spaces were bought and sold in the second quarter, involving 20.05 billion patacas, up by 94.2 per cent and 90.1 per cent quarter-to-quarter.
