Macau’s ninth case of coronavirus infection was confirmed Tuesday morning by the Government Information Bureau.
The 29-year-old Macau female resident visited the home of the eighth confirmed case on 24th of January and stayed there for about 4 hours.
She had runny nose, cough, and fever since 25th of January, with symptoms disappearing thereafter.
On Monday, the Health Bureau tracked the case when contact was found, suggesting she go to the hospital for testing.
Results were positive for the novel coronavirus and she has since entered isolation.
The Health Bureau’s Disease Prevention and Control team is now conducting a follow-up investigation of her epidemiological history and close contacts.
