Quarantine requirements for those arriving in Hong Kong from mainland China, Macao and Taiwan have been extended until 7 August, the Hong Kong government announced today.
Restrictions imposed on general travellers from the mainland will be extended by a month, until 7 August, which was previously to end on 7 July. Under this extension, people will still undergo 14-day compulsory quarantine to make sure they are not infected by COVID-19.
The Hong Kong government will remain in communication with relevant authorities from Guangdong province and the Macao SAR regarding mutual health testing and quarantine exemptions.
Exemptions will be given to those engaged in production or economic activities beneficial to Hong Kong and cross-border students and teachers.
