Four more Covid-19 positive arrivals from Hong Kong – a 59-year-old local man, a 52-year-old Hong Kong woman, a 10-year-old boy from Hong Kong and a 69-year-old local man – are in isolation at the Public Health Clinical Centre in Coloane. All three adults had been inoculated, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated.

The woman and the boy arrived in Macao last Sunday together with a 41-year-old woman whose asymptomatic case was announced last Wednesday. As she was sent to isolation, the 52-year-old and the boy were classified as close contacts and also despatched to the centre in Coloane. The boy’s relationship with the two women has not been disclosed.

Of the other patients, the 59-year-old arrived last Monday and initially tested negative however his result came back positive on Friday. The 69-year-old tested positive on arrival yesterday.

Macao has been seeing Covid-19 positive cases imported from Hong Kong since early last week. The three most recent, two Hong Kong men and the 41-year-old Hong Kong woman, were announced on Friday and Saturday. The two men are non-resident workers employed in Macao, The Macau Post Daily reported.

All the cases have been recorded as imported and asymptomatic, so Macao’s novel coronavirus tally stays at 79.
