Starting at midnight tonight, all travellers crossing the Macao-Zhuhai border will need to show a negative NAT result taken in the past 72 hours.
The Zhuhai-Macao Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism announced that the measure will last until midnight on 31 December, while other Covid-19 cross-border prevention and control measures remain unchanged.
Previously, authorities announced on 14 December that the 24-hour NAT result measure was extended for another week through 21 December. The measure has been in place since 16 November and has been extended several times for one week at a time.
With the new announcement, the 24-hour validity will be replaced with 72-hour validity on the dot of midnight, with the Zhuhai-Macao Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism pointing out that the cross-border NAT measure will continue to be adjusted according to the two cities’ current pandemic development.
