Property prices fall 21.6 pct in April

Macau’s average residential property price per square metre dropped 21.6 percent to 103,128 patacas in April, the Finance Services Bureau (DSEC) has announced.

According to the bureau, the average size of the units amounted to 68 square metres.

The average price in Taipa was 139,080 patacas per square metre, up 31.5 percent year-on-year.

In Coloane, the average price per square metre was 116,907 patacas, a year-on-year growth of 2.6 percent.

In the peninsula, the average price dropped 39.1 percent to 83,371.

In April, 664 residential property conveyances were registered by the bureau, down 33.5 percent year-on-year.

While 434 units changed hands in the peninsula, there were 168 conveyances in Taipa and 62 in Coloane.
