Tesla unveiled its electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck, during a private showing at the Lisboeta in Macao this morning. The vehicle has been attracting considerable attention worldwide because of its futuristic appearance.

Much like the other Tesla vehicles, the Cybertruck features an autopilot system. Two versions are currently on sale in the North American market, with the 600 horsepower dual motor model priced at US$79,990 and the 845 horsepower Cyberbeast model on sale for US$99,990.

In terms of range, the dual motor model can reach up to 547 kilometres on a full charge, while the Cyberbeast can travel up to 515 kilometres. An optional range extender can push the distance to 755 kilometres.

No announcements have been made yet as to when the vehicle will go on sale in Macao. However, the company has been recently showcasing the vehicle across Asia, including in South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong, where there was a private showing last week.

The truck is expected to be showcased around Macao over the next month or so, with public viewings at the Macao International Automobile Exposition on 11 and 12 May, Lisboeta between 15 and 21 May, Beyond Expo from 23 and 25 May, and Nova Mall between 26 May and 10 June.

Since it was first unveiled by Tesla CEO Elon Musk in 2019, the Cybertruck has faced multiple production delays due to its unconventional design and issues with its accelerator pedal.
