Macau gross gaming revenue surged 28 percent in April

Casino gross gaming revenue in Macau rose by 27.6 percent year-on-year in April, to MOP 25.7 billion (US$3.2 billion), according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

Casino gross gaming revenue in Macau rose by 27.6 percent year-on-year in April, to MOP 25.7 billion (US$3.2 billion), according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

In April 2017 the casino gross gaming revenue reached MOP 20.162 billion (US$2.5 billion).

Gaming revenue in Macau has increased for 21 consecutive months.

The growth was driven by both high-rollers and mass market.

Macau gross gaming revenue for the first four months of 2018 stood at nearly MOP102.24 billion (US$12.780 billion), a year-on-year expansion of 22.2 percent.

Casino gross gaming revenue in Macau in 2017 was MOP 265.743 billion (US$33.217).

At the end of March 2018 Macau has 41 casinos.
