Shopaholics are in for a fun weekend, as the three-day 2021 Sands Shopping Carnival at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo starts today.
Admission is free to the carnival, which features more than 560 retail booths, as well as an international-cuisine food court with eco-friendly tableware.
There will also be games and a play area for kids featuring inflatable slides, game booths and sports games as well as a karaoke contest and lucky draw.
The 21,000-square-metre carnival space is divided into nine zones: Household Products, Parenting and Family, Gourmet, BNU Presents: Food Court, Sands Retailers, Cultural & Creative, Green Lifestyle, Bank of Communications presents: “Play and Fun” Kids Area, and Macau Original IP.
The Green Lifestyle Zone sells eco-friendly products and aims to increase public awareness of environmental protection, and the Macau Original IP Zone promotes local creativity and entrepreneurship.
A spokesman for the carnival said that it provides a convenient opportunity for SME suppliers to enrol in the upcoming 10th intake of the Sands Procurement Academy, pointing out that the free training programme shares business knowledge and skills to help groom SME suppliers to meet international standards, helping them gain experience and capacity for working with large-scale international corporations.
