Trade visitors from more than 50 countries and regions joined the 19th Macau International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) during which the organiser assisted in about 1,500 business-matching sessions and the signing of more than 130 co-operation agreements over the four-day fair that ended Sunday.
According to a statement from the fair’s organiser Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the co-operation agreements, which involve a number of countries and regions, cover emerging industries such as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the food and beverage businesses, cultural and creative industries, tourism, retail and sports.
The statement also pointed out that the SMEs Exhibition and Trading Zone drew a big crowd on the final day of the fair.
The 20th MIF is scheduled to take place from October 22 to 25 next year.
The statement did not say how many people attended the fair.
