Joining Wynn Macau as their Chief Operating Officer in January 2017, Ciarán Carruthers has announced his departure from the integrated resort at the end of September 2022. He will be moving on to become the CEO of Crown Resorts, Australia’s largest gaming and entertainment group.

Prior to joining Wynn Macau, he was Senior Vice President of Venetian and Plaza Operations at Sands China for three years between 2014 and 2016, and Chief Operating Officer of Galaxy’s Starworld Hotel & Casino for seven years, joining them in 2002 when casinos were first liberalised in Macao.

The departure follows Wynn Resorts’ announcement yesterday that Ian Michael Coughlan, the current president, has decided to transition to an advisory role and non-executive director upon completion of his employment agreement at the end of next February which will also see Linda Chen take over as President of Wynn Macau on top of her current role of Vice Chairman.
