In response to Macao’s four latest Covid-19 cases, new Key Areas have been announced by local health authorities and people who live and work in the areas are required to undergo three nucleic acid tests (NAT) within five days, starting from today.

All four cases have been classified as “related to an imported case”, according to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.

The Key Areas are:

– Rua de Tomas Vieira 21-23;

– Rotunda do Alm. Costa Cabral 5-9;

– Rua do Alm. Costa Cabral 95-99, 105, 107-139;

– Jorge Álvares 3-3A, 4-4A;

– Beco do Alm. Costa Cabral 2-12;

– Rua de Afonso de Albuquerque 31-31A, 28C-30B, 34-34CA;

– Rua de Francisco Xavier Pereira 14-16, 42-42A;

– Estrada do Repouso 11-29A, 32-46B

The Centre said everyone living and working in these Key Areas – some near Kiang Wu Hospital, Pui Ching Middle School and Three Lamps District – must do the first test either today or tomorrow, the second on 1 December, and the last one on 3 December. Only infants and toddlers aged under three are exempt from the mandatory NATs.

If those included in the mandatory testing have undertaken NATs in mainland China on those dates, they do not need to take other tests on those specific dates, while those with a yellow health code must do their NATs according to the number of tests required by the Health Bureau.

In addition, those who have completed their NATs in mainland China on those dates must use the Guangdong Health Code to convert their NAT results to the Macao Health Code, the verification of which will then be accepted in Macao as having completed the tests.

Booking for the free Key Areas’ NATs can be done via this link.
