The NBA is bringing more than just basketball games to Macao this weekend. On Wednesday, it also debuted a one-of-a-kind celebration of the lifestyle, technology and culture that surround the sport.

As the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns prepare to tip off in the NBA China Games 2025 tonight and again on Sunday, 12 October, fans can get a head start on the action at the city’s first-ever NBA House.

From now till Sunday, The Venetian Macao is hosting three more days of basketball legends, live viewing parties, music, fashion and interactive fan experiences. Best part? It’s free and open to all.

For die-hard fans and first-time viewers alike, it promises an experience like no other. To give you a better idea, here’s a quick rundown of what’s in store.

See NBA legends in person

Few things spark excitement like seeing star athletes in real life. And this weekend, some of the best ever to play the game of basketball will be right here in Macao.

NBA House will host six NBA Hall of Famers, including Shaquille O’Neal, Mitch Richmond and Tim Hardaway Sr., and all-time greats Shawn Marion, Deron Williams, and Stephon Marbury. While Marbury is known for his legendary NBA career all over the world, he’s especially beloved in China, where he dominated the game over nine seasons to cap an incredible run.

The star players will make appearances throughout the weekend, sharing stories, meeting fans and keeping the atmosphere buzzing. Whether you grew up watching Shaq dominate the paint or admired Marbury’s leadership on the court, this is a rare chance to meet the legends who helped shape the modern NBA.

Beyond appearances, fans can step directly into the action through interactive courts and basketball clinics. An LED-lit half-court brings dazzling technology to the floor, while an unmissable LED basketball fountain merges art with sport – a one-of-a-kind installation that draws inspiration from Macao’s iconic skyline.

Watch, play and have fun

If you want to test your own skills, you’re in luck. NBA House is staging contests straight out of All-Star Weekend.

Try your hand at a dribble challenge, then see how your wingspan stacks up with the pros. Or step into the NBA Replay Centre to experience what it’s like to make game-changing calls as a referee – it’s not as easy as it might seem on TV.

The event will also bring the excitement of the NBA China Games to the fan zone tonight and again on Sunday. Even if you can’t make it inside the arena, you can still cheer on the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns at live viewing parties while soaking up the electrifying energy.

While exploring, swing by interactive booths from the likes of Ant International, Taobao 88VIP, Wilson, NBA Atelier, Gatorade, and Topps to collect stamps on your “Fans Journey.” Collect enough, and you can earn prizes according to your calibre – from rookie to Hall of Fame.

For younger fans, an NBA inflatable castle ensures the next generation of players can get in on the fun, too.

Fashion, music and prizes

Practice your all-star entrance in the NBA Tunnel Walk, then share your highlight video on Instagram

Basketball is more than just a game – it’s a lifestyle. NBA House celebrates the culture around the court with music, technology, shopping, and exclusive experiences.

Start with the NBA-themed tunnel, an immersive passage of LED displays that capture your walk in high-definition video – the perfect clip for social media bragging rights.

Next, swing by the Brooklyn Nets’ photo booth, where three “Infinity” rooms turn every angle into an Instagram-worthy backdrop before you pick up exclusive merchandise.

Don’t miss the Phoenix Suns’ sneaker vault: part photo op, part competition, with a chance to win a pair of kicks. Meanwhile, the new NBA Macao Flagship Store at The Londoner Macao ensures fans can take home official gear, from jerseys to custom creations.

If all the action has you feeling peckish, stop by the G Bear Booth. The playful pop-up will be serving up fan favourites from Londoner Grand’s G Bear Cafe, like the adorable G Bear Choux and melt-in-your-mouth Butter Cookies, along with indulgent Dubai Chocolate Bites and other treats. While you’re there, pick up exclusive NBA x G Bear merchandise, including collectable blind boxes and mugs.

And because no big basketball moment is complete without music, NBA House will feature live performances throughout the week, keeping the fun going long after the final buzzer.

If that’s not enough, you can also snap photos with the Larry O’Brien Trophy, the ultimate symbol of NBA glory. Last June, the Oklahoma City Thunder hoisted it. Now, you can see the golden prize up close before the season tips off and all 30 NBA teams battle to claim it.

What comes next?

NBA House will run until Sunday, 12 October at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo Hall A and is open to all fans free of charge. Registration is already available online now.
