The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Galaxy Macau have signed a four-year strategic partnership to bring three UFC Fight Nights to Galaxy Arena between 2026 and 2029, following the “resounding success” of last year’s Yan v Figueiredo UFC event at the resort, UFC announced on Thursday.
The agreement also includes the opening round of the 2026 Road to UFC tournament, a talent-development series providing top emerging mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters from the Asia-Pacific region with a pathway to compete in the UFC.
UFC President Dana White said the partnership “couldn’t come at a better time,” and it would be “great for fight fans in China and massive for the sport.” The organisation’s senior vice president and head of its Asia division, Kevin Chang, said the events would “cultivate the next generation of talent, right here from the heart of Macao.”

Galaxy Entertainment Group’s COO for Macao, Kevin Kelley, highlighted that the agreement aligned with the government’s “vision to integrate tourism and sports” as part of its efforts to broaden the SAR’s tourism offerings beyond gambling.
According to GGR Asia, each of Macao’s UFC Fight Nights would be accompanied by fan meet-and-greets, appearances by star fighters, and a week-long programme of activities.
UFC produces more than 40 live fight nights around the world each year, and first held an event in Macao back in 2012, when it partnered with Sands China.
