The 2025 3×3 Greater Bay Area (GBA) Tour’s grand finals will again be held in Macao, from 23 to 26 October, following qualifying rounds staged in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hengqin, Macao and Huizhou, local media report. The first 3-a-side basketball matches have been scheduled for 30 August.
The Sports Bureau confirmed the tournament’s dates at a press conference yesterday, with bureau president Luís Gomes highlighting its importance to the region. “The 3×3 Greater Bay Area Tour 2025 will [be] promoting exchanges between the cities of the Greater Bay Area through sports, jointly creating a sports tourism brand in the region,” he said.
Gomes added that hosting the finals in Macao would help “further stimulate the passion for basketball and allow everyone to feel the lively atmosphere of sports events.”

As in previous years, the finals will take place in front of the Ruins of St Paul’s and at Wynn Palace – landmark sites that organisers said would help showcase the city’s unique character to participating teams.
Tournament organisers also noted that internationally renowned basketball stars, Olympic medalists, and well-known mainland Chinese players had been invited to participate in this year’s 3×3 GBA Tour.
Teams interested in taking part in the tournament can register via its dedicated website. The finals will feature both men’s and women’s teams competing for cash prizes and gifts valued at more than 700,000 patacas.
