Macao is highlighting its cultural and creative industries at the 2025 Hong Kong Book Fair, marking the first time the Cultural Affairs Bureau (known by its Portuguese initials IC) has brought its “Macao Craft Market in the Greater Bay Area” initiative to Hong Kong.

Running from 16 to 22 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), the market features 40 Macao-based creative brands peddling a wide array of cultural products. These include merchandise, handmade crafts, fashion items, accessories and lifestyle goods incorporating distinct local elements, IC said in a statement.

The Hong Kong Book Fair will also see IC and the Macao Foundation jointly present a selection of high-quality publications from Macao.

The craft market is open daily throughout the fair’s duration, from 10 am to 10 pm, except for the final day – when it closes at 5 pm.

Previously held in the Guangdong cities of Guangzhou, Foshan and Shenzhen, the initiative aims to enhance brand visibility and expand market reach for Macao’s creative sector across the Greater Bay Area. The events have received positive feedback from industry professionals and the general public.
Admission to the fair is HK$30 for adults and HK$10 for kids. Ticketing information is available at its website.
