Under the slogan “Macau – Capital of major events”, IPIM set up a pavilion at AIME 2016 to showcase Macau’s potential as a centre for exhibitions, conventions and meetings, thus attracting international events.
IPIM announced, meanwhile, that this year Macau will host the World Congress of Chinese Life Insurance Professionals and the Annual Conference of the International Dragon Prize (IDA), with the expected participation of 6,000 delegates, the 9th edition of “SIGGRAPH Asia”, which hopes to attract more than 7,000 participants, “Jeunesse Greater China Meeting” and “NU Skin Academy 2016,” with more than 7,000 participants.
In order to diversify Macau’s economy, the government launched a series of actions to make the Macau Special Administrative Region into a major centre for conventions, exhibitions and events in the Pearl River Delta thus attracting more investment, business and leisure travellers.
