Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei, a new full-service hotel located next to Gongbei Port and Zhuhai Railway Station – handy for travellers moving between Macao and the Chinese mainland.

The 278-room hotel is positioned to serve both business and leisure travellers. According to Hyatt, the new property’s design features Lingnan-style architectural elements and views of the South China Sea, Macao’s skyline and Banzhang Mountain.

There are three dining venues at the property: the Market Cafe serving Chinese and Western dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner; a lobby bar overlooking the Gongbei Port area; and Xiang Yue, a seafood-focused Cantonese restaurant. There’s also a Regency Club lounge positioned as a private space for premium guests.

For events, the hotel provides about 1,600 square metres of meeting and function space, including a pillar-free ballroom equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology – designed to host conferences, banquets and weddings.

Leisure amenities include a fitness centre, an indoor heated swimming pool and a yoga studio, all located on upper floors.

The opening adds to the growing supply of internationally branded hotels in Zhuhai as the city seeks to strengthen its role as a gateway to Macao and the broader Greater Bay Area, according to Travel and Tour World.
