The Tertiary Education Services Office (GAES) will link up with six local banks to launch an interest subsidy scheme for local graduates who learn Putonghua, Portuguese or English outside Macau, the office’s Assistant Coordinator Chang Kun Hong said Thursday.

From 1st November 2017, new regulations mandating that any cash or other negotiable monetary instrument over US$ 15,000 (MOP 120,000) passing through Macau Customs authorities have to be declared, according to local television broadcaster TDM.
The Monetary Authority of Macau (AMCM) increased its overnight discount base rate by o.25% of a percentage point to 1.25%, the AMCM said in a statement issued on Thursday.
