Cotai’s Galaxy Macau is offering invitation-only previews of its latest hotel, the gilded Capella at Galaxy Macau. The move allows some of the integrated resort’s “most distinguished VIPs” to stay in the 17-storey property and sample its dining options, according to a press release.

Designed by French interior architects Moinard Bétaille, the hotel boasts 95 suites and penthouses – including Capella Penthouses with private infinity pools and panoramic views of the city.

The official public opening date for Capella at Galaxy Macau has not yet been announced, though its website states this will happen sometime in 2025.

The website also notes that Moinard Bétaille was inspired by “the jungle, and Macao’s lush green hills” for its suites and penthouses’ design, while the hotel’s whiskey bar sports an “equestrian polo” theme.

Its dining offerings, meanwhile, were developed in partnership with Hong Kong chef Vicky Cheng, whose contemporary Cantonese restaurant Wing came in at number three on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2025.

Capella is a Singaporean luxury hotel brand. Thailand’s Capella Bangkok currently tops The World’s 50 Best Hotels list. Other luxury hotel brands at Galaxy Macau include Raffles, the Ritz-Carlton and Banyan Tree.
