The pandemic has forced the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) to cancel a marketing campaign in Xiamen, but it is pressing ahead with a local promotion drive.

MGTO Deputy Director Ricky Hoi Io Meng said that the Xiamen Macao Week has been postponed until further notice due to the Covid-19 outbreak in that area of the mainland.

However, the MGTO is setting up information counters at the six integrated resorts in Macao to boost the tourism industry’ revival.

The counters at Grande Praça of MGM Macau, Business Centre of Wynn Palace, the lobbies at Studio City and Grand Lisboa, the ground floor (near Tastes of Asia) of Galaxy Macau and at West Lobby of the Venetian Macao – will be promoting Macao Highlight Tours, which are tailored for visitors, and the local “Stay, Dine and See Macao” tours, reported The Macau Post Daily.
