Two travellers who arrived in Macao on Wednesday who had been in Beijing 14 days prior were immediately transferred to 14 days of quarantine and medical observation at one of the government’s “quarantine hotels”.

The Macau government said on Saturday it will airlift “50 to 60” local residents stranded in Hubei province in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic.
There are no plans yet to bring the 124 local residents stranded in Hubei province, the epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak, back to Macau.
Health Bureau (SSM) Director Lei Chin Ion said that the risk of the COVID-19 epidemic in Macau “can be regarded” as having been reduced “for the time being”, after the city has not confirmed a new COVID-19 case for more than two weeks.
There is no “back to school” schedule for non-tertiary education yet as the date would depend on Macau and its surrounding areas’ COVID-19 situation.
