The Macao government has started discussing details about its purchase of Covid-19 vaccines with producers from the mainland and abroad which are widely expected to commence production of Covid-19 vaccines in the near future.

Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng said on Tuesday that only after Covid-19 vaccines are available can Macao’s economy and employment situation improve.
The Macao government aimed to purchase 1.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines covering the city’s whole population – two shots for each person.
The Macao government is confident that the first batch of Covid-19 vaccines will be delivered to Macao early next year.
