Macao to lower Typhoon Signal to No 3 at 1 pm

The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) will lower the current Tropical Cyclone Signal No 8 to No 3 at 1 pm today. Tropical Storm Mulan made landfall in Zhanjiang at 10:50 am and is moving away from Macao. Winds are expected to ease this afternoon.

Signal No 8 was hoisted at 7 am today and lasted all morning.

Meanwhile, the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau announced that all government departments and public entities will re-open as usual this afternoon. The bureau said all public servants must go to work as usual. 

In addition, the Public Security Police Force has announced that starting at 1 pm, the Friendship Bridge, Sai Van Bridge, Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge and the Lotus Bridge will re-open, after which Sai Van Bridge’s lower deck will gradually close depending on the traffic flow.
