Residents have been advised that they have just over a week to use up their start-up fund and immediate discount grant on their e-consumption smartcards.

The Economic and Technological Development Bureau pointed out that the remaining balance will be returned to the public coffers after 31 December. Once residents’ balance on the startup fund is lower than MOP 10, they can top up their own cards in order to spend the remaining immediate discount grant.

According to the bureau, those who chose to use the physical e-consumption smartcard, can continue to use the smartcard as a normal Macao Pass, The Macau Post Daily reported.
