Macau’s Higher Education Bureau (DSES) said in a statement on Wednesday that six of the city’s 10 tertiary education institutions will gradually resume on-campus classes on April 1.

According to the statement, the Macao Polytechnic Institute (IPM), Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM), Public Security Forces Academy, University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Kiang Wu Nursing College and Macau Institute of Management will gradually restart classes on April 1.

Macau’s primary, secondary and tertiary education institutions have been closed since the Chinese New Year holiday in late January in response to the novel coronavirus crisis. However, many of them have been conducting online lessons for their pupils and students since last month.
