Macao’s Hac Sa and Cheoc Van Beaches will re-open for swimming and water sports starting tomorrow as the city enters its stabilisation period after no new Covid-19 cases were found in the community over the past nine days.

People who go to the beach are reminded to wear facemasks, maintain social distance and avoid crowds, the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) announced.

“Masks can be removed during swimming and water sports but social distancing must be maintained,” said DSAMA, who also pointed out that after swimming or doing water activities, people must again wear their facemasks – surgical or above this standard.
