The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) has signed an Articulation Agreement with leading Swiss institutions Les Roches Global Hospitality Education (Les Roches) and Glion Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) to provide a “top-up” study plan to IFTM’s Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management students following a “3+1” learning model.

The agreement enables IFTM and the two institutions to collaborate and “enrich” students’ academic journey. Students completing the first three years at IFTM and the stipulated requirements of the two institutions in any of their campuses (Switzerland, Spain or the UK) can get a bachelor’s degree awarded by IFTM and Les Roches or GIHE.

Four IFTM students are currently undertaking the dual programme in Les Roches’ campus in Spain in the Academic Year 2022/2023.

IFTM recently invited Hospitality Consultant and Alumni Ambassador Kavi Khemlani and Regional Admissions Manager Veronica Yin to brief students about the dual programme, drawing an enthusiastic response.

GIHE and Les Roches come under the Sommet Education group and are ranked in the top five of the QS World University Rankings by Subjects 2022 for Hospitality and Leisure Management, The Macau Post Daily reported.
