Talk about raising the bar. Just when it seemed Macao’s hotel scene couldn’t get any more lavish, Londoner Grand is set to take opulence to new heights. Anticipated to open within The Londoner Macao in January 2025, the new property occupies the towers that once housed the Sheraton Grand Macao. The buildings have now been completely transformed, unveiling a sophisticated design inspired by Georgian architecture and the elegant London townhouses of Mayfair, London’s prestigious residential district.

But the resort doesn’t rely on style alone. It’s the exceptional service and unique experiences that have really lifted the bar and created the most immersive British-themed luxury escape outside the UK. Here’s a preview of what to expect.

Soon to be the first Luxury Collection Hotel in the city, Londoner Grand makes a bold first impression thanks to a timeless look and feel by award-winning interior design firm Peter Silling & Associates.

The eye-catching Georgian-inspired facade fits right in next to The Londoner Macao’s famous replicas of the Palace of Westminster and the Houses of Parliament. Step inside, and you’ll feel like you’ve just strolled into a posh London townhouse in Mayfair, complete with sleek marble floors, royal blue rugs and quirky pop art that balances elegance with the vibrant creativity for which the UK capital is famous.

The 2,405 rooms and suites are all about those classic British details – think wood panelling, velvet sofas, plus English tweed and tartan textiles – without feeling overly thematic. The rooms are spacious too, starting at 42 square metres. Depending on the suite, you could find yourself feasting in your own private dining room or soaking in a marble tub while sipping Champagne.

Designed for celebrities and VIPs, some suites take it up a notch with a private terrace, jacuzzi, media room, and even a personal gym. The star of the show? The Hanover Suite, which comes with its own 27-metre-long swimming pool.

But no matter where you stay, you’ll get access to two gorgeous pools, a health club, a spa, and a world of unique British-inspired experiences. Where else can you enjoy complimentary sparkling teas served by a “Sparkling Queen” in a sequined gown adorned with tiers of Champagne flutes or have a butler expertly craft single-origin pour-over coffee in your suite? Not to mention the secret “daily missions” designed to inspire your inner sleuth. Each “mission” (depicted on a card) will lead you to a hidden gem or a fun surprise, waiting to be discovered. Take a photo to capture the moment, then head to the concierge desk to claim your reward – a chance to win a prize in a lucky draw.

Butler services like no other

Paiza Grand’s butlers are more than just attentive – they’re experts in the art of anticipation. Let them take care of every detail, from cocktail hour to a restful night’s sleep

Within Londoner Grand lies the Paiza Grand, an exclusive hotel for VIPs, where the butler service is anything but ordinary. Sure, they can shine your shoes or pack your bags, but these A-team members are also experts in everything from wine and cigars to tea ceremonies. And for cocktail hour, they’ve got a gin trolley stocked and ready to wheel up to your suite, mixing up a crisp G&T right by your side.

Their knowledge also spans the realms of wellness, local culture and even sleep optimisation. If rejuvenation is the goal, they can set up an in-suite spa treatment, draw you a relaxing bath or bring in a personal trainer. Need some quality shut-eye? The “Sleep Sommelier” programme ensures guests enjoy restful nights with personalised pillow selections and recommended aids like aromatherapy or cool sleep gadgets.

They’ll even snap high-quality photos of your stay and entertain children with fun cultural activities. These butlers have a sixth sense of what you need – even before you do.

Cotai’s new dining destination

Get ready to indulge in a culinary journey through regional Chinese cuisines and beyond at Chelsea Garden, Londoner Grand’s 24-hour food hall

Dining at Londoner Grand will be a delight. At the heart of it all is Chelsea Garden, a food hall inspired by London’s historic Covent Garden, once the city’s vibrant hub for fresh produce and flowers.

In the vibrant market-like atmosphere, live kitchens hum with energy, offering a tempting array of dishes 24 hours a day. It feels like a celebration of regional Chinese cuisines, taking you on a journey through Cantonese, Taiwanese, Hunan, Sichuan and Chao Zhou specialties, plus Hong Kong café staples and Macanese favourites.

The vast menu includes must-try signatures like jasmine flower smoked roasted crispy pigeon, cheese baked pork chop rice, Macanese-style crab congee, and Chao Zhou-style marinated blood cockles with homemade sauce. You also can’t go wrong with Chelsea Garden’s delectable homemade noodles, dumplings and dim sum. For a modern take on classic har gow, order the signature Flower Sisters shrimp dumpling platter, which includes four types of prawn dumplings – all executed to perfection. All the while, Streetmosphere performers, photogenic flower carts and a charming alfresco area inject even more energy and personality into the experience.

Another restaurant under Londoner Grand’s umbrella will be The Conservatory, previously part of the Sheraton Grand Macao. The multi-concept space combines a Cantonese restaurant and a cosy pub-like restaurant and bar.

In 2025, culinary options will expand to include Hampton Court, a regal, three-storey sanctuary inspired by its namesake palace. From the refined elegance of The Great Hall, where brunch feels lively and lavish, to the swanky Bard’s Bar and whimsical Jester’s Corner for sweet indulgences, every corner of this private space evokes a sense of splendour. As the sun sets, the Court will open its doors to the public for dinner, inviting all to experience its splendour.

Next year will also see the debut of two new Chinese restaurants, including a contemporary Sichuan eatery that will reimagine traditional dishes with modern flair.

Of course, being nestled within The Londoner Macao means a wealth of other dining experiences awaits just steps away. From superlative cuisine to impeccable service and opulent decor, every moment at the Londoner Grand is a testament to the art of fine living.
