The State Council has appointed Luo Yonggang one of the four vice-directors of the Central People’s Government Liaison Office in Macau, according to a statement by the office in Macau on Thursday.

According to the Macau Post Daily, Luo succeeds Sun Da, who was appointed a vice-director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine earlier this month, the statement said.

Luo Yonggang, born in 1966, has a master’s degree in Education from Inner Mongolia Normal University. Before his appointment to Macau, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) of Hubei province and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of that province, the statement said.

Sun had been a vice-director at the Central People’s Government Liaison Office in Macau since 2015.
