Ho to deliver 2021 Policy Address on 16 Nov

Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng will deliver his 2021 Policy Address on Monday, 16 November in the chamber of the Legislative Assembly (AL), the Government Information Bureau (GCS) announced on Thursday.

Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng will deliver his 2021 Policy Address on Monday, 16 November in the chamber of the Legislative Assembly (AL), the Government Information Bureau (GCS) announced on Thursday.

The session will start at 3 pm. It will be followed by a press conference at Government Headquarters at 5 pm.

On 17 November, commencing at 3 pm, Ho will attend a plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly to explain the government’s policy programme for next year and take questions from lawmakers.

The public can watch and listen to the 16 November policy address and press conference – and the 17 November Q&A session with lawmakers – via live broadcast on the television channels and radio service of public broadcaster TDM, in Cantonese and Portuguese simultaneous interpretation.

Members of the public also have the option of watching the proceedings online via the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government Portal; the website of the Chief Executive’s Office; the website of the Legislative Assembly; the website of GCS; via the official channels on YouTube of the Chief Executive’s Office and of GCS; and via GCS’s Facebook page.

Users of portable devices may watch the live sessions via “GCE Macao”, a mobile application issued by the Chief Executive’s Office, or through “MSAR News”, the mobile app of GCS.

5 policy secretaries to present their 2021 policy guidelines

The government’s five policy secretaries and their bureau directors and other subordinates will present their 2021 policy guidelines to the legislature between 3 pm and midnight on the following dates:

Secretary for Administration and Justice André Cheong Weng Chon: 25 November;

Secretary for Economy and Finance Lei Wai Nong: 27 November;

Secretary for Security Wong Sio Chak: 30 November;

Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Elsie Ao Ieong U: 2 December;

Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosário: 4 December.
