Macau, China, 1 Jun -The government’s expenditure in the January-April period stood at 10.4 billion patacas, up 115.6 percent year-on-year, the Finance Service Bureau (DSF) announced yesterday.
 
The government’s revenue rose 46.5 percent year-on-year to 33.1 billion patacas in the January-April period, resulting in an overall surplus of 22.7 billion patacas, up 27.8 percent year-on-year.
 
Direct gaming taxes accounted for 84 percent of the total revenue. In the first four months of last year, direct gaming taxes made up 83.8 percent of the government’s total revenue, The Macau Post Daily said.
 
The government’s income from direct gaming taxes rose 46.8 percent year-on-year to 27.8 billion patacas in the first four months.
 
The government’s overall surplus increased 27.8 percent year-on-year to 22.7 billion patacas.(MacauNews/Politics)
