Arlindo do Rosário, Cabo Verde’s former Minister of Health, will be the archipelago’s next Ambassador to China.
He will replace Tânia Ramualdo, whose service mission ended on 30 December 2021 and who has been the National Director of Foreign Policy since January.
The prime minister of Cabo Verde, Ulisses Correia e Silva, said that he hopes that the new ambassador to China can continue to strengthen economic relations and cooperation with China.
“China is a very important partner of Cabo Verde, which has proven itself in terms of development cooperation, it is an important global player and we are all interested in strengthening this good partnership,” said the prime minister.
Ulisses Correia e Silva recalled that Rosário, graduated in medicine and served as Minister of Health for more than six years including during the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
