After Typhoon Rai spared Macao, the temperature will gradually increase to 22 degrees Celsius this week but the mercury is expected to plummet to 9 degrees Celsius next Monday, the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau has warned.
According to the bureau, a strong winter monsoon will strike the South China Sea on Christmas Day and the temperature will start to fall. The Observatory expects rain on Boxing Day which will lead to low-temperature next Monday.
The bureau said that as the weather will be changing daily during the Christmas holidays, residents should pay close attention to the weather forecast and be prepared for the cold weather spell, The Macau Post Daily reported.
