Shops at the new Taipa Ferry Terminal in Pac On will open in September, according to the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA), while no opening date has yet been set for the terminal’s food court, Taipa and Coloane Community Service Consultative Council Deputy Convener Cristina Ho Hoi Leng said Tuesday.
DSAMA officials gave the council a tour of the new gigantic terminal which began operating at the beginning of the month. A closed-door meeting between the officials and the council members was held at the terminal after the tour, according to the Macau Post Daily.
Currently, no shops or restaurants are operating at the terminal. The bureau has installed numerous vending machines as a temporary measure to meet passengers’ needs.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Ho said the food court would provide seating for 140 customers outside the restricted area.
Ho said councillors suggested the bureau improve the terminal’s ancillary facilities, such as adding bigger direction signs and maps of the terminal’s various areas.
