About 100 US citizens living in Macau participated in a Women’s March protest against US President Donald Trump on Saturday, after his inauguration in Washington, DC, on Friday (1 a.m. Saturday Macau time), according to local Chinese-language online media All About Macau.

Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On said on Thursday that the government would consider building social, cultural, sports and recreation facilities on the plot of land currently leased by Macau Yat Yuen Canidrome Co. Ltd. for its controversial greyhound races, according to a statement by the Office of the Chief Executive (GCE).

Local airport operator CAM said on Wednesday that it would push ahead with developing more facilities at the airport, to cope with the rising number of passengers for the next two decades.

Judiciary Police (PJ) Director Chau Wai Kuong said on Monday that drug-dealing cases recorded by his criminal investigation force rose to 122 last year from 85 in 2015, an increase of 43.5 per cent. A 72-year-old local woman tested positive for the H7N9 avian influenza, Health Bureau (SSM) Director Lei Chin Ion said on Thursday during a special press conference at the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre late last night. Lei said it was the first confirmed imported case of H7N9 avian influenza in Macau. The first locally contracted case of H7N9 was reported last month. That patient has made a full recovery.

The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested on Thursday 23 suspects for their alleged involvement in the illegal use of UnionPay cards by conducting bogus cash transactions so that clients could get cash after swiping their cards on POS (points of sale) machines.
