A public health centre in Coloane’s Seac Pai Van neighbourhood will open to the public at 11 am today, the Health Bureau (SSM) has announced.

The new 5,600-square-metre health centre at the Seac Pai Van Health and Social Services Building is 12 times bigger than the provisional health station it replaces.

The bureau said that the new centre will serve certain areas of Coloane, covering a population of between 30,000 and 40,000.

The Covid-19 vaccination service at the provisional health station will be transferred to the new health centre.

In addition to various types of community health services, space has been reserved in the new centre for the future provision of traditional Chinese medicine health care and stomatology, or oral medicine concerned with the structures, functions and diseases of the mouth., The Macau Post Daily reported.
