The Macao government will soon start working on a detailed land planning of Taipa Central District 2; a public consultation is scheduled to kick off afterwards.
The detailed land planning includes converting an unused area around Taipa Central District 2 – behind Nova Taipa Gardens apartments – to build a green space for the public.
Meanwhile, lawmaker Ron Lam recently sent a written inquiry about the land planning, to which Land and Urban Construction Bureau Director Lai Weng Leong replied that the scrapped initial plan to build a tyre park on the 19,000-square-metre land was merely a concept of temporary use of land.
Through a consultation process, the public will be asked for their opinions on the government’s current plan to use the Taipa Central District 2 land to create a green space for the community, TDM reported.
