All Macau residents with a history of having been to the mainland 14 days prior will be quarantined for two weeks upon arrival in Hong Kong.
According to a statement released on Friday by Macau’s Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, the measures will be enforced from the 8th of February onward.
Hong Kong announced these new anti-epidemic measures on the 5th of February, stipulating that from the early morning of the 8th, those who have visited the mainland 14 days before arriving in Hong Kong — including Hong Kong people, mainland residents and other tourists — must be quarantined for 14 days.
“Macau government calls on Macau residents to comply and cooperate with the Hong Kong government’s epidemic prevention measures,” said the statement.
