The Public Works Bureau received on Thursday four quotations for the design and construction of the southern segment of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) East Line.
TDM reported that the bids varied between MOP 4,618 million and MOP 4,808 million, with an estimated construction time of around four years.
The identities of the bidders or their countries of origin have not been disclosed.

According to TDM, bidders want contracts to start in the second half of this year.
The 7.7-kilometre line will connect the Barrier Gate border checkpoint and the Taipa Ferry Terminal in Pac On.
Six bidders — also unknown — have already submitted quotations for the design and construction of the northern section of the line, ranging from MOP 4.47 billion to 5.13 billion.
