Another new imported Covid-19 case from Macao was detected in Zhuhai today, according to Zhuhai Health Bureau as it announced three new cases, including two asymptomatic local infections.

The neighbouring city’s new imported case involves a 21-year-old female non-resident worker who travels regularly between Zhuhai and Macao for work. Just on Sunday, Zhuhai announced it detected another Covid-19 from Macao. Both infected patients live in Dingfu Building in Zhuhai’s Gongbei Subdistrict.

The 21-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 during centralised medical observation. Her first few nucleic acid tests (NATs) on 4, 6 and 7 August were all negative. She only tested positive yesterday.

Meanwhile, Zhuhai’s two new asymptomatic cases were also detected in centralised medical observation. The two patients live in Lianzhou and Baijiao towns, respectively. Both tested negative on and before Sunday before testing positive yesterday.

According to the Zhuhai Health Bureau, all three of them have been to Gongbei Port, supermarkets and shopping malls in Zhuhai. The bureau has not specified who has been to which of these places.
