Residents with a yellow Macao Health Code can work after discussing the situation with their employer or supervisor, and as long as they follow Covid-19 prevention measures.
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre said those with a yellow health code would have to undergo nucleic acid tests (NATs) as scheduled and follow measures such as a ban on leaving Macao, close health monitoring and self-health management.
During the self-health management period, the Centre said workers with a yellow code should report their situation to their employer or supervisor, who must make Covid-19 prevention arrangements for them at work.
This includes the supervision of regular NATs and rapid antigen tests (RATs), with the testing frequency depending on their risk, “preferably once a day for five consecutive days”.
Other measures are the proper use of masks, preferably a KN95 or higher, avoiding gatherings or public contact without a mask, the cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces, and arranging independent workspaces if appropriate, The Macau Post Daily reported.
The Centre pointed out that residents with a Yellow Health Code are still required to take part in the mass-testing drive, while Red Health Code holders must be sent to the NAT station of Conde de São Januário General Hospital for sample collection.
