The 2022 Sands Shopping Carnival, which was scheduled to take place at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo from 21-24 July, has been postponed due to Macao’s current Covid-19 outbreak, the company has announced.

All extended activities planned to be held during the carnival, including Karaoke King Singing Competition and Street Dance Competition, have also been postponed until further notice.

The annual event was scheduled to be held this year with more than 580 booths. It was first held in 2020 with the aim to provide a free business platform for local SMEs and Sands retailers amid the pandemic.

The event is co-organised by the Macao Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, Macao Government Tourism Office and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute.
