From 12:00 pm on 20 March onwards, individuals who have been in Hong Kong for two weeks prior to entering Macao will be subject to a 14-day medical observation period instead of the current 21 days, followed by seven days of self-health management.
The announcement was made this afternoon by the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center of Macao. “This amendment also applies to people who have already entered Macao [from Hong Kong] and are currently under medical observation or self-health management,” said the Center.
For these individuals, the self-health management period “may end earlier than the 21 days after entering Macao,” reported TDM.
