Help is at hand for restaurant and beverage business employers in collecting and providing employee information to fulfil Covid-19 prevention guidelines and the Health Bureau’s (SSM) requirement for target workers to undergo regular nucleic acid tests (NATs).
The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has launched a registration platform called “Target Worker Populations Information Collection System for Nucleic Acid Test of Novel Coronavirus”. The bureau held a briefing session on Thursday for food and beverage business chambers and associations gathered through the Macao Chamber of Commerce, who were instructed on how to use the system and the precautions that relevant establishments must abide by during “screening”.
The bureau pointed out that the Health Bureau’s “Guidelines on Regular Covid-19 Testing for Target Worker Populations” state that security guards, cleaning staff, waiters and cashiers of the relevant IAM-licensed and administered establishments must regularly undergo NATs. The results can’t be used for border crossings, and those failing to undergo the test will have their health codes turn yellow.
The licence holders, or those in charge of the businesses, must collect the relevant employees’ information, which can be submitted by visiting the IAM’s public service centres, by fax, or using the online registration platform. The list of employees will be included in the NAT appointment system for target worker populations, The Macau Post Daily reported.
