Macao recorded a total of 204 Covid-19 cases yesterday, nearly double the number of cases reported in the city on Saturday (106), the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced this afternoon.

Among the 204 cases, 97 were women and 107 were men. The youngest case is less than 1-year-old while the oldest is currently 79. A total of 84 individuals had symptoms and were classified as confirmed cases, while the rest were asymptomatic. Six cases were detected under control in medical observation hotels and hospitals and 198 were found in the community.

Out of all the cases found in the community, 61 were detected by self-administered rapid antigen tests, 130 in mixed samples of nucleic acid tests (NAT) in Macao, six in NAT’s mixed samples in Zhuhai and one was a close contact.

Macao has registered a total of 541 positive cases since 28 November.
