A 25-year-old unemployed female Macao resident is the city’s latest Covid-19 case and she is considered “related to an imported case”, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced at 1 am today.
Her nucleic acid test (NAT) results on 14 and 16 November were both negative. Last night, her self-administered rapid antigen test result was positive and she reported it by uploading the result onto the Macao Health Code app. She is now under medical isolation and treatment.
According to the Centre, the woman had dined at Vista 38 restaurant in The Grand Suites at Four Seasons in Cotai on 12 and 13 November, but she was not immediately put under medical observation as she was not on the list of diners provided by the hotel.
During the period between 16 and 17 November, the woman stayed home and did not go out except for undertaking an NAT in the evening of 16 November. Where she lives, The Residencia building on Rua 1 de Maio 472C, block 3, in Areia Preta has now been listed as a Red Code Zone, which is expected to re-open on 24 November.
The other two Red Code Zones, Edf. Seng Hei Court, block 2, and Edf. Tranquilidade, are both expected to re-open on Sunday. Both were placed under lockdown on 14 November. Since then, there have been six Covid-19 cases found in the city.
