The Lisboeta Macau in Taipa has been listed as an “optional medical observation” hotel for arrivals from Hong Kong, Taiwan and foreign countries.
The term “optional medical observation” hotel means that arrivals having to undergo quarantine can choose to stay there, instead of having to stay in a quarantined hotel designated by the government that they may not prefer.
The Macao Government Tourism Office said that the Lisboeta Macau will start to serve as an optional medical observation hotel tomorrow and will be used as an observation hotel until 31 December. Reservations could be already made by email. The hotel will not provide a phone booking service, “in order to ensure the accuracy of the information received”.
Macao’s other optional medical observation hotels are the Grand Coloane and Sheraton Grand Macao. However, Sheraton Grand Macao’s last day as a quarantine hotel is 16 September.
