Forty-seven positive Covid-19 cases had been discovered in Macao as of this morning following the sudden outbreak at the weekend, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre has announced.

The patients include 35 women and 12 men, ranging in age from 8 months to 89 years old; among the 47 people, 10 are classified as symptomatic and 34 asymptomatic while three people are still under investigation. Patient zero has still not been found.

In response to the 47 positive cases, the authorities are following up on 1,502 people; which include 249 close contacts, 920 with overlapping itineraries, 134 secondary close contacts, 51 general contacts and 104 accompanying persons.
