VIP baccarat generated nearly 55 percent of Macau’s gross gaming revenue last year, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has announced.
VIP baccarat revenue reached 166.1 billion patacas, accounting for 54.8 percent of the 302.8 billion pataca revenue generated by games of chance last year.
In 2017, VIP baccarat produced 56.7 percent of the Macau’s gross gaming revenue. Back in 2014, VIP baccarat accounted for 66.1 percent of local casinos’ gross gaming revenue.
Revenue generated by VIP baccarat rose 10.2 percent year-on-year in 2018.
VIP baccarat and mass-market baccarat combined generated 88.6 percent of Macau’s gross gaming revenue last year. Back in 2013, both card games accounted of 91.5 percent of the casino sector’s gross gaming revenue.
